The refined yeast powder in ThreeLac is not actually a typical brewer's or baker's yeast. This refined yeast powder is derived from beets and is a simple sugar. It is included as a food source for ThreeLac/FiveLac.How do kids that have never had antibiotics get candida?
Probably through their mother. When a child is in utero, their digestive tract is entirely sterile. The idea is that they are supposed to pick up all of the beneficial bacteria they need on the journey through the vaginal canal. Unfortunately, many of us today do not have very much beneficial bacteria available and may have a significant amount of yeast there instead. So, at birth, the baby picks up a dose of candida-yeast and no beneficial bacteria. How is Candida spread within families?
The most common way that candida is spread in family is from mother to child through birth. When a child is in utero, their digestive tracts are completely sterile. They are supposed to pick up all of the beneficial bacteria they need in the birth canal from their mom and in breast milk. However, if the mom doesn't have very many beneficial bacteria to give because they are loaded up with candida, the baby sees very little protective beneficial flora and a lot of yeast on the way out. Compound that with giving antibiotics early in life and the baby is set up for a candida problem.
Caesarean section births have the same problem since the baby receives nothing from the mother.
It is usually difficult for people to pass candida back and forth if everyone is healthy. However, if someone's immune system becomes low then it is possible to pick candida up more easily from someone who has it. Husbands and wives can pass candida back and forth because of the intimate nature of the relationship; however, most people can stave candida off if they have a robust immune system.
How many microorganisms are in ThreeLac?
Bacillus Coagulans (500 CFU)Bacillus Subtilis (500 CFU)
Enterococcus faecalis (500 CFU)
This may not seem like an awful lot, but you have to remember that these bacteria are microencapsulated so you are not losing up to 95% of them in the stomach acid. Almost all of these bacteria get to the small intestine where they specifically target candida.
This product does contain a tiny amount of casein which does not exceed 30 ppm.
Have any independent medical studies been performed on ThreeLac?
Yes, a medical study was completed on Dec 2, 2004. Here is the letter that was sent to GHT from Gary Shima, M.D. describing the results of his study. Global Health Trax has committed itself to a higher standard of excellence in product development and manufacturing, which includes an on-site state-approved production facility and research lab, a Quality Assurance Manager, and cutting-edge quality assurance seals. Additionally, GHT has instituted an on-going product-testing program with Dr. Gary Shima, M.D., CEO and Medical Director of the Health and Longevity Institute of San Marcos, CA. GHT has begun a series of (PCLV) Physicians Controlled Lab Verified clinical studies. Each of these highly controlled tests and clinical studies verify the positive effects that GHT's products have on the human body. Here is the letter that Dr. Shima sent GHT in regards to it clinical study of ThreeLac. This letter is dated 12/02/2004:| From: Gary J. Shima M.D. Health and Longevity Institute 1145 San Marino Dr. #120 San Marcos, CA 92069 December 2, 2004 To: Everett P. Hale, CEO Global Health Trax, Inc. 2465 Ash Street Vista, CA 92084 Dear Mr. Hale, We conducted a second clinical research study using your Threelac product, following the same protocol standards as with the Oxygen Elements Plus study, namely, pre and post-testing health questionnaires were collected, and fasting blood-chemistry panels were performed, prior to and at the end of the 30-day study. Again, the participants did not change their diet, exercise patterns, medication or supplement usage; however, in this study we performed pre and post blood tests for Candida Albicans antibodies. Several subjects performed the fasting, early morning saliva test for Candida screening. Of the 13 original subjects, 9 completed the study. Results and Findings: All of the subjects who tested positive with the morning saliva Candida screening test showed markedly positive blood Candida antibody tests. Most of the subjects attracted to this study were suspecting Candida problems, and answered “yes” to many of the Candida symptoms on the questionnaire. Eight of the participants were female and one was male. After 30 days on Threelac, averaging three packets daily, 8 of the 9 subjects showed reduction of Candida antibody levels. Of interest, 5 of the 9 subjects showed reduction of Total Cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL Cholesterol with some elevation HDL Cholesterol. The most significant symptoms favorably affected after the 30-day use of Threelac were headaches, fatigue and lethargy, heartburn and indigestion, mental concentration, numbness, joint pain and stiffness, skin rash, and allergy symptoms. One participant reported she could write better with a pen, since prolonged suffering with chronic wrist tendonitis. The results of this study are in my possession and are the property of Global Health Trax Inc.® Sincerely Yours, Gary J. Shima, M.D. |
Will I ever be able to discontinue the products?
Some of us choose to stay at maintenance levels just to ensure that we never have a re-occurrence of candida again. But, the goal for most is to eliminate the candida and then get off the ThreeLac. By following our graduated dosage methodology of working up one packet at a time until the symptoms are gone and then working back down one packet at a time, you will be able to discontinue the product in time. However, people that have had candida are very prone to a re-occurrence, as candida in its innocent form is always with us. If you should have to undergo an antibiotic treatment or are under stress, for example, it is a simple matter to get another can of ThreeLac and just do a general cleanse.
