Thanks again! My daughter is loving the xylitol. I cannot believe I had it in my cupboard and forgot about it! I took 1/2 packet of the fivelac today and feel pretty good (no headache like yesterday), so I guess I will stick with that dose for a bit. My daughter is doing good again today on the 1/4 tsp of threelac. I'll be ordering from you once we get through our samples. Thanks a million!

Well, it's been about a week now that we have been trying to use the samples. At this rate, I think we will have the samples for a while! OUr doses are getting smaller and smaller! Regarding my daughter, I cut her back to 1/8 tsp of threelac. She wet the bed 3x, and complains of nightmares of bugs crawling on her when I give it. Is this normal behavior? I don't think I can cut back more than an 1/8 of a tsp, that's a pretty small dose. For me, I noticed in the last post you told me to use threelac, but you sent a sample for me of fivelac. Do you want me to change over? I used 1/2 packet of fivelac last night, and I STILL have a pounding headache at 7pm tonight, about 24 hours later. Thanks for the advice here! I do plan to place an order, once I know what we both will be using.

Hi again! It's been a while since I posted. We are 5 weeks into detoxing my child. She seems ok, but I am tired of cooking meat, brown rice and veggies! We did a baked potato one night and she loved it. I am also experimenting with desserts....all made with xylitol. Apple crisp, choc covered nuts, flourless/sugarless warm chocolate cake. Tomorrow we will make home made ice cream with raw milk and xylitol. I have read on some websites that raw milk is ok on the candida diet. What are your thoughts? I am not sure about it... I think I see a change in behavior when I give dairy. I've read raw milk sugar is different that homogenized/pasteurized dairy. Anxious to hear your thoughts on that. We are STILL using the samples you sent. Since we both only take 1/8 tsp a day. But will have to place my first order soon. I very much appreciate the samples to get us started. Decreasing the doses really helped both of us with the die off symptoms. DD is still wetting the bed though, 2-3 times per night. I am back to buying pull-ups now, because I am tired of changing sheets!

Oh my, you are such an inspiration !! The Xylitol is wonderful stuff and I've found it at Safeway recently too under the name "Ideal" The bed wetting is something that you may see for a while until the candida levels get down some more. It is quite common. I found that dairy for me is just not an option. I haven't tried raw milk though. Dairy by nautre converts to a "dairy sugar" in the body. Lactase enzymes can be beneficial, especially for her being so young, she needs some milk. I never have had much of a sweet tooth. The candida is a survivalist and opportunist. It finds what is readily and often available and then will create cravings for its continuance. I craved cheese horribly bad, and found after starting the candida cleanse, when i succumbed to the cravings, my symptoms flared big time, and my toxicity levels increased as well. But when i say succumb, i mean i really enduldged myself I believe that candida not only produces toxicity in order to make us feel bad enough that what stop doing what we're doing to attack it, (die off reactions) it also creates toxicity to make us comply with it's demands. If we are fatigued or not feeling well due to toxicity, then we are less apt to eat right and more likely to eat the things it wants us to. Comfort foods so to speak, as in my case, The Cheese. I would continue to add foods and experiment like you have with the baked potato, and journal any reactions. Keeping a food journal is how i figured out the cheese and how miuch i could eat before i experienced any issues. Hope that helps. Keep up the excellent work. I sooo admire your persistance to stick with this. Have an Great weekend, and don't forget to Thank A Vet

Hi Leanne! We are 3 months into detoxing now, and I have some more questions. I am doing well and feeling better! My 5 year old seems to have regressed a little bit. I was reading the instructions that came with the threelac I ordered, and it says for kids to start at 1/4 tsp and increase to 1/2 tsp. We started at 1/8 tsp, then went up to 1/4 tsp per day, and she was doing well. Bedwetting had decreased a lot, and her "change in mental status" we had seen prior, that had gotten so bad, was much better. Per the directions, last week I increased her dose to the full children's dose of 1/2 tsp per day, which is just about 1 packet. I should mention that she is also getting 1/4 tsp apple pectin per day, plus two strains of probiotic. Since I increased her dose to 1/2 tsp, she is so irritable (to be expected I guess, from yeast die off?) but some of that weird mental status stuff is back. She is somewhat anxious again, and always "tells on herself" if she thinks she did something bad. And she is waking up again at night, several times a night. Do you think the 1/2 tsp is too much for her, based on these symptoms I am seeing again? She is acting so hyper too; cannot sit still and does not stop talking. It's enough to drive me crazy!!! I know her candida was really bad, but I guess I assumed that a child would be quicker to "heal" than an adult. Am I wrong here? Thanks again for your support and advice! Oh, to those following our posts here, I found some AMAZING chocolate. Maybe you have heard of it, but if not, it's called ChocoPerfection. It's a chocolate bar that I found at our health food store. It's made with oligofructose and is safe for candida diets. And we love it. I melt the DARK version over some raw almonds with a little sea salt, freeze it, and break it up to make a nut brittle. We cannot keep our hands off it! ANd of course, still using the xylitol to create all sorts of yummy dessert-like dishes for her! Just wish the ChocoPerfection and the xylitol were a little less expensive!

It sounds like the 1/2 tsp may be too much for her. You could try doubling up on the apple pectin and see if that helps, but if you don't see an improvement in the day or two after doubling the pectin, I would take the ThreeLac down to 1/4 tsp again. Don't be discouraged... you have seen great progress, but it may take a little while longer than most just because she is pretty sensitive to the die-off. You are sure doing her some a really great favor getting her candida taken care of now instead of later. You guys are doing great! I am so glad to hear that you are seeing some significant improvements with the cleansing!
