Toxicity Symptoms

Candida cleanses go hand in hand with toxicity in the body. Candida, itself, creates many toxins in the body called mycotoxins. Some of these are acetaldehyde (which the liver converts to alcohol), formaldehyde, aflatoxin (one of the most carcinigous substances known to man) and many others.

As you go through a candida cleanse, the dead candida will also become a toxin that the body must handle. These dead candida organisms can be overwhelming to the system; if you can't get them out, they tend to circulate just adding more toxicity to an already overburdened system.

Toxicity symptoms are straightforward to address.
  1. Drink plenty of water to help flush your system of toxins. The recommended amount of water to drink is 1/2 of your body weight in fluid ounces. When one a cleanse, however, it is a good idea to drink a little more than that.

  2. A good, soluble fiber is an excellent place to start. We prefer a psyllium-based fiber, but if you can not tolerate psyllium products, apple pectin and oat bran will work, too. The fiber wraps around the toxins and draws them out of your system and into the stool which you can then expel.

  3. Epsom salt baths are very helpful in drawing toxins out of the system. We recommend 1 cup of Epsom Salt in a warm bath. If you are having trouble with pain, you can place 2 tsp of grated, raw ginger in the bath water. Soak for 15-20 minutes.

  4. One of the MOST efficient ways to detox quickly is with an Infra-Red Sauna.
    Just 20 minutes, 2-3 times per week in an Infra-Red Sauna will keep your lymphatic system and the rest of your body clear of toxins.
    A regular dry sauna will work, as well. Steam rooms would also be all right to do, although I prefer the dry sauna. The wet environment in a steam room could encourage candida which prefers a moist environment.
