Relief from vaginal odor or vaginal discharge..
I had never known any different. From the time I was a young girl to the time I was 38 years old, I suffered with vaginal discharge and sometimes, vaginal odor. I thought this was a normal thing that everyone dealt with. It was embarassing, but it took a long time before I realized that vaginal discharge was an unusual occurrence. I recently discovered that I had a systemic yeast overgrowth which was not manifesting in what one would think of as the typical way (i.e. vaginal yeast infection). I have never, ever had a traditional vaginal yeast infection. I don't even know what one would feel like. However, a simple saliva test confirmed that, yes, I did have a yeast infection. I also had many other yeast symptoms. I found a product called ThreeLac in Feb. of 2004 and started taking it to get rid of a myriad of other problems I was having. Things that ranged from eye pain to water retention and inability to lose weight. As a side benefit, I noticed that my vaginal discharge and odor were gone!
Susan from Washington wrote: "I am very happy with your product I was suffering from a very strong vaginal yeast infection that was unaffected by 3 doses of diflucan, and several doses of the over the counter drugs available. I took your product and the yeast infection went away in a matter of days.
What Selmedica Health Care says this about vaginal odor and vaginal discharge:
Most women who experience vaginal odor or vaginal discharge have no idea what causes it, much less how to get rid of it. We try to perfume it away or use an endless supply of feminine hygiene products. The truth is you don’t need any of these products and you’re not unsanitary. Actually, there are several causes of vaginal odor, all of which can be eliminated simply and painlessly. Most (95%+) vaginal odor is caused by an infection called "gardnerella" which causes bacterial vaginosis. While this infection can be passed between partners, it is not a sexually transmitted disease (STD). bacterial vaginosis (BV) is one of the chief causes of vaginal odor. This vaginal odor may become more pronounced after having sex and is fishy in nature. This is the most common type of vaginal odor.
The cause of bacterial vaginosis is not fully understood. BV is associated with an imbalance in the bacteria that is normally found in a woman's vagina. The vagina normally contains mostly "good" bacteria and fewer "harmful" bacteria. Vaginal discharge and vaginal odor develops when there is a change in the environment of the vagina that causes an increase in harmful bacteria.
Adding to the mystery, not much is known about how women get BV. Women who have a new sex partner or who have had multiple sex partners are more likely to develop BV. But women who have never had sexual intercourse can be affected as well. It is not clear what role sexual activity plays in the development of bacterial vaginosis and there are many unanswered questions about the role that harmful bacteria play in causing BV. Women do not get bacterial vaginosis from toilet seats, bedding, swimming pools or from touching objects around them. Scientific studies suggest that BV is common in women of reproductive age. In the United States, as many as 16% of pregnant women have BV. This varies by race and ethnicity from 6% in Asians and 9% in whites to 16% in Hispanics and 23% in African Americans.
Interesting information and I am sure very accurate, however, you notice that they are not willing to speculate on why a person would develop this condition (see the highlights above). I have a "speculation" that may be of interest to you. If you have EVER, even once, taken a course of anti-biotics, corti-steroids like Prednisone, birth control pills, or oral acne medications it is possible that you are at risk for a candida (systemic yeast) infection. I mean, really, who hasn't been on one or more of those things in a life time. Sure, you can treat the symptom of BV that causes discharge and odor with products like Enzara at $75.00 per month for seemingly FOREVER (you realize that is $900/year). Or you can get at the root cause of vaginal odor and vaginal discharge by eliminating your candida problem, with a product that is pleasant to take at only $49.95 for an approximate one month supply at therapeutic levels. And you don't need to be on it forever, 1-2 months should be enough to evaluate the effectiveness of the product. The product is called ThreeLac! Here is more about ThreeLac.
Candida albicans is a common yeast found in our digestive system and throat, when we are exposed to anti-biotics, birth control pills, corti-steroids, or prednisone the good bacteria which normally keep candida under control in our systems are killed off and the candida can overgrow. When the candida yeast gets out of control, it morphs into a mycelial fungal form, becomes invasive and grows rhizoids which then burrow into our intestinal wall. These rhizoids leave microscopic holes in the intestinal wall which allows toxins in the form of undigested food particles, bacteria and yeast into our blood stream. When this condition occurs the overgrowth is called Candidiasis or a systemic yeast infection. One indication of a systemic yeast infection is oral thrush or a white coated tongue. The toxins that the yeast puts into our system are responsible for the varying conditions that each individual experiences.
A systemic yeast infection is an insidious disease in that it gains ground slowly over years. It does not go away on its own - it must be treated. If you have vaginal odor or vaginal discharge today, you may have many worse things tomorrow. It is believed that autoimmune disorders have a yeast connection. things like Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, MS and IBS are just some of the syndromes that may develop in long term candida sufferers. Please check out my home page to learn more about Systemic Yeast Infections.
If you want to know if you have candida try this quick and easy saliva test. There are other seemingly unrelated symptoms that are caused by systemic candida. If you want to see if any of these apply to you check out the list of yeast symptoms. Prepare to be amazed!
Read this excerpt from an article from Healthy Christian Living; they have done a lot of research on Candida.
"The majority of people who have Candida Albicans (Yeast) do not even realize they have it until they become seriously ill. It is estimated that over half of the worlds population has a moderate to serious Candida condition, due to the over use of antibiotics/drugs, bad diet and other causes. There are many programs, books and products on the market, all promising either control or relief from Candida and its symptoms. I have searched the net, researched with colleges and pulled together the most comprehensive, straightforward & up to date information possible. We will show you in these pages why Nystatin, Diflucan and other Fluconazoles do more harm than good, how to recognize the problem, arrest it and of course get rid of it!"
Other people I know that have eliminated their vaginal odor and vaginal discharge
- My 3-yr old daughter, Madison, had a vaginal yeast infection and really bad vaginal odor since she was about 6 months of age. I had passed systemic yeast to her while nursing. Regardless of the creams I would apply or the baths I would give her, within about 12 hours after a bath the odor was back. I could hardly bear holding her, because of the really bad smell that would waft up from her vaginal region. The red, yeast rash on her labia would never go away. Even if I was very diligent in applying an anti-fungal cream, as soon as I stopped, it would come back. After about 6 weeks on ThreeLac, her vaginal odor is COMPLETELY GONE and her rash is a thing of the past!
- My 10 year old daughter has a lot of vaginal discharge, which I notice when I do the laundry. After being on ThreeLac for a couple of months, it is GONE.
- My 8 year old daughter also had vaginal discharge - GONE
- My 12 year old niece's vaginal discharge - GONE
- My sister-in-law's vaginal discharge - GONE
- My vaginal discharge and vaginal odor - GONE
And if that was enough, I also found some additional benefits by taking this product. So many symptoms cleared up that I was not even aware would possibly be related to candida yeast.
